Electrician

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States; onsite at the Oshkosh Vocational facility

Salary: Minimum starting rate of $26.12 per hour, based on experience and education

hirify.global's Vocational segment designs and manufactures refuse trucks, mixer trucks, fire apparatus, airport rescue vehicles, service vehicles, and command trucks.

What you will do

• Assemble, install, route, and wire electrical parts, harnesses, and cables for vocational vehicles.
• Read and interpret wire harness prints, wire schematics, work orders, and production schedules.
• Use drills, crimpers, wire cutters, strippers, tie-wrap guns, electric drivers, and other hand tools.
• Assist with electrical reworks, repairs, parts inventory, and material movement.
• Inspect parts, maintain accurate routing, and keep the shop clean and safe.
• Work the assigned schedule and overtime as needed, including lifting and manipulating parts weighing up to 80 pounds.

Requirements

• One or more years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Previous electro-mechanical experience.
• Ability to read wire harness prints, wire schematics, safety manuals, work orders, and tape measures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment, recognize safety issues, and safely access heavy equipment.
• Ability to distinguish wire, harness, and cable colors and maintain balance while working on floors, ladders, and trucks.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in automotive mechanics, electro-mechanical studies, or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous maintenance or operational experience.
• Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor.
• Forklift operation experience.
