Hydraulics Engineering Intern

Location: Orrville, Ohio, United States; full-time role combining office work with physical activity in field or production environments.

Pay: $18.00–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist design engineers with mechanical engineering tasks for hydraulic boom and scissor systems.
• Prepare vehicle component layouts using Creo and other CAD software.
• Select components based on weight, cost, reliability, quality, and manufacturability.
• Read hydraulic schematics and perform flow, pressure, and performance calculations.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve engineering problems.
• Support vehicle and component testing, analyze hydraulic and prototype test data, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Ability to work across office, field, and production environments.
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods and shift between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks.
• Ability to walk across varied terrain or shop floors, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
