Technical Program Manager II - Operations (Payments)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States

Base salary: $102,991.20–$164,788.00 per year, with possible additional commission or performance bonus.

What you will do

• Bridge operational teams, internal engineering resources, and third-party tool providers to build and manage internal tooling solutions.
• Own the technical roadmap for internal tooling, including prioritization, resourcing, and requirements.
• Coordinate stakeholders, communication plans, progress tracking, risk management, governance frameworks, and solution delivery.
• Develop process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
• Analyze business processes, performance metrics, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive goal planning, status reporting, operational readiness, and communication of priorities across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field is preferred.
• At least five years of professional program management experience focused on operations or technology use cases.
• At least five years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Experience managing programs involving executive stakeholders, organizational priorities, governance, change management, dashboards, status reporting, and performance metrics.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Nice to have

• PMP or related project/program management certification.
• Experience in payments, financial services, money movement, card processing, or ACH.
• Familiarity with coding languages, technical systems, software development concepts, or data analytics tools.
• Experience with feature launches, operational readiness programs, PMO organizations, mentoring, and program management best practices.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting financial services or payment-processing environments.
