Electrical Engineer (Aviation)

Provides mission engineering solutions for U.S. Army aviation and ground systems, including integrated air and missile defense and threat and target systems.

What you will do

• Design and document electrical and avionics modifications for U.S. Army Black Hawk and Chinook rotorcraft.
• Define electrical and avionics systems requirements using tools such as DOORS and CAMEO.
• Develop wiring diagrams, maintenance work orders, and installation instructions using DoD and industry standards.
• Perform electrical loads analyses on aircraft power systems under supervision.
• Evaluate supplier drawings for design-standard compliance and manufacturability.
• Define the electrical integration of new aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering from an accredited program.
• 3–5 years of experience, including at least 3 years using CAD software such as AutoCAD, CREO, or ProE to create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of basic electrical engineering design practices and analyses.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings and present ideas to engineering leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Existing SECRET clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance required.

Nice to have

• U.S. Department of Defense aviation experience.
• Supplier interface, bills of materials, and Integrated Product Team experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T and Military, ASME, or ASE electrical design specifications.
• Experience with circuit design software such as MultiSim or PSpice.
