Analytics Consultant - Medical Drug Pricing (Healthcare)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office and two days working from home

Base pay: $69,800–$125,900 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus

What you will do

• Analyze medical drug pricing and reimbursement strategies, with a focus on facility-based fee schedules.
• Query internal and external data sources to develop actionable cost-management and pricing insights.
• Build reporting and visually engaging dashboards using data visualization tools.
• Validate data, automate analytical processes, and manage workflows from extraction through recommendations.
• Support preferred drug strategies, reimbursement benchmarking, and pricing optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and provide mentorship in managed care analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience, a related master’s degree, or six years of relevant experience in healthcare services, statistical analysis, insurance economics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency querying diverse internal and external data sources.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, R, or Python.
• Experience creating dynamic dashboards with Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong business intelligence, communication, presentation, independent-work, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with a minimum of three office days per week in Chicago.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical drug pricing, reimbursement strategies, or facility-based fee schedules.
• Familiarity with NDC and HCPCS mapping and unit conversion.
• Experience using machine-readable files, CMS ASP data, and other transparency or industry benchmark sources.
• Experience with reimbursement benchmarking, preferred drug strategies, Teradata, or similar data platforms.
