Principal Data Scientist (AI)

Salary: $143,000–$286,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, competitive performance insights, and growth opportunities.
• Research, develop, and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms for structured and unstructured data.
• Build scalable AI- and LLM-powered data products for business partners and customers.
• Develop AI and LLM-powered agents for workflow automation and information extraction.
• Communicate findings through reports, visualizations, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline with 4+ years of relevant post-graduate experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant post-graduate experience.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of analytics experience, a master’s degree with 3 years of analytics experience, or 7 years of experience in an analytics-related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong data engineering foundation, including modular code, pipeline architecture, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience scaling AI/LLM-powered agents, evaluating outputs, implementing guardrails, validating accuracy, and applying human-in-the-loop review.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Scala, R, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Background in data science, machine learning, optimization models, or related research and publications.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
