Senior Data Scientist, Customer Analytics (AI)

Location: Remote from Oregon, USA

Salary: $112,000–$200,860 annual base salary, with potential bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Analyze product usage data to identify behavioral patterns, customer segments, and growth drivers.
• Develop predictive models for churn, retention, expansion, and product adoption.
• Build customer health scores and predictive signals to support proactive customer success strategies.
• Apply AI and machine learning techniques, including advanced segmentation, pattern detection, and relevant NLP.
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable data science solutions.
• Partner with Customer Success, Product, Go-to-Market, and BI teams to communicate insights and embed predictive analytics into dashboards.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, predictive modeling, and large-scale datasets.
• Experience with regression, classification, clustering, customer analytics, churn modeling, segmentation, and cohort analysis.
• Working knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques and their application to business problems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be based in Oregon, USA for this remote role.

Nice to have

• Experience with product usage or telemetry data and SaaS or subscription-based business models.
• Knowledge of customer lifecycle metrics such as retention, LTV, and engagement.
• Experience with NLP, recommendation systems, unstructured data analysis, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
