SNIF Field Service Technician

Location: Aurora, Ohio, USA; remote work with up to 80% domestic and international travel and regular onsite work at customer facilities and manufacturing sites.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in manufacturing environments.
• Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, inspections, and testing.
• Diagnose controls and system-integration issues, perform instrument loop checks, and apply PLC knowledge to troubleshooting, programming, design, and maintenance.
• Provide onsite technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Investigate equipment failures and customer complaints, develop corrective actions, and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve technical issues and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of PLC controls and programming, technical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently, make sound field decisions, manage multiple priorities, and communicate confidently with customers.
• Valid driver’s license and valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, including domestic and international travel, and work extended hours when project or customer needs require it.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial fuel-fired equipment, engineered systems, aluminum, primary metals, or similar industrial environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and CADD applications.
