Field Service Technician III (Data Center Cooling)

Location: Remote within the United States; approximately 85% travel to job sites is required

Company

Builds liquid-cooling and large-scale air-cooling systems for AI, hyperscale, and other demanding data center environments, supported by Madison Air’s manufacturing footprint.

What you will do

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment used in data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, manuals, tools, equipment, and parts required for installation and repair.
• Manage challenging field jobs while minimizing disruption to customer facilities and controlling company costs.
• Coordinate with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service contractors.
• Consult engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
• Provide technical guidance and customer service, and report product performance or improvement opportunities to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience; HVAC or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 85% of the time to job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, work independently, coordinate with outside technicians, and follow up on parts delivery.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to complete projects correctly and on time.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical school education or certification.
• Experience with industrial HVAC or similar electromechanical products.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Intermediate commercial project experience.
• Building automation experience.
