Field Service Technician II (US Remote)

Location: Remote within the United States; the position can be based at any US location. Travel to various job sites is required approximately 85% of the time.

What you will do

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for new data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, manuals, tools, equipment, and parts required for installation and repair.
• Manage challenging service and warranty jobs while minimizing customer disruption and company costs.
• Coordinate with building owners, contractors, engineers, and local service providers.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
• Provide professional service to internal and external customers and share feedback on product performance and improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 85% of the time to customer job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to remain involved through root cause analysis, work independently, and coordinate with outside technicians and parts suppliers.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical school education or certification.
• Experience with industrial HVAC equipment or similar electromechanical products.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
• Experience with commercial projects and building automation.
