Energy Services Sr. Project Developer (HVAC)

Location: Brea, California, United States. Hybrid schedule: onsite Monday through Thursday; Friday work location is flexible. Some travel and occasional overnight stays are required.

Annual base salary: $87,800.00–$157,569.99. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Develop HVAC systems and turnkey design-build and energy performance contracting solutions.
• Define project scopes, concepts, engineering analyses, system validation, installation budgets, and subcontractor RFQs.
• Provide technical support for business pursuits and participate in strategic job acquisition teams.
• Manage conceptual site plans and preliminary engineering documents through construction documents.
• Improve Design-Build Turnkey and ESPC processes and transition secured customers from project development into delivery.
• Support customer satisfaction, acquisition activities, and coordination with internal teams, customers, engineers, account managers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in engineering, a technical field, or business.
• Project management and performance contracting/ESCO experience.
• Knowledge of energy conservation measures, cost and savings studies, energy rebates, utility tariffs, and utility bill analysis.
• Ability to audit mechanical and building systems, recommend improvements, and communicate with and direct subcontractors.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, electricity, mechanical HVAC systems, and building construction practices.
• Proficiency in Visio, AutoCAD, or other design software; a valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record is required.

Nice to have

• Ability to develop HVAC system-level sequences of operation and control requirements.
• Knowledge of computerized energy simulation tools.
