People Partner (Immigration)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Serve as a people partner for client organizations, advising managers on hiring, performance, organizational structure, and employee relations.
• Own the immigration and visa sponsorship program from case strategy through filing coordination with outside counsel.
• Manage employer-sponsored H-1B, O-1, L-1, and PERM cases for new hires and existing employees.
• Investigate, resolve, and document sensitive employee relations cases.
• Run scalable people processes including onboarding, performance reviews, engagement, and offboarding.
• Coach managers, including first-time managers, as the company scales across sites and countries.

Requirements

• Direct experience owning an employer-sponsored immigration program and managing outside immigration counsel.
• Experience as an HRBP or people partner in a rapidly scaling organization.
• Experience handling sensitive employee relations cases and conducting defensible investigations.
• Ability to provide fast operational support and same-day answers.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and judgment about when to involve legal counsel.
• Ability to work on-site in Austin, Texas, United States.
