MBSE/Digital Engineer, Senior (MBSE)

Location: LA AFB in El Segundo, California; onsite support for the US Space Force Space Systems Integration Office

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Perform Model-Based Systems Engineering and digital engineering for US Space Force mission systems.
• Create analytic frameworks and tooling to model and simulate System-of-Systems and Family-of-Systems solutions.
• Conduct trade studies and recommend modernization changes for surface, air, and space mission systems.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications across the product lifecycle.
• Translate customer and system requirements into software designs using a test-driven approach.
• Lead the contract digital engineering team and support digital engineering environment integration and maintenance.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of combined industry, federal government, or SETA/FFRDC experience supporting federal acquisition, MS&A, digital engineering, or programming.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of programming and modeling tools including C#, Python, CAMEO, SysML, and/or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Strong systems engineering background and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to apply acquisition regulations, law, policy, and guidance.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SysML v1/v2, UAF, Mission Engineering, and MBSE modeling tools.
• Knowledge of Python and Java scripting or coding.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to communicate with customers and build strong working relationships.
