What you will do

• Apply model-based systems engineering methodologies across the lifecycle of complex space systems.
• Create digital models for concept definition, pre-acquisition planning, technology maturation, trade-space analysis, and technical decision support.
• Support resilient system-of-systems architectures spanning space, ground, communications, and multi-domain mission segments.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical gap analyses, trade-off analyses, Analysis of Alternatives, and predictive simulations.
• Translate operational needs and mission requirements into acquisition strategies, design solutions, technical performance metrics, and engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with government leadership, acquisition stakeholders, mission partners, mission engineers, systems engineers, and cross-functional technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on systems engineering, MBSE, or digital engineering experience supporting government, defense, national security, or space-based systems.
• Experience with requirements definition, CONOPS development, architecture development, integration, verification, validation, and technical reviews.
• Proficiency with SysML, UAF, Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, or similar MBSE tools.
• Understanding of system-of-systems architecture for space, ground, communications, sensing, targeting, or multi-domain missions.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition processes, portfolio acquisition execution, technical performance metrics, procurement strategies, or government acquisition documentation.
