Senior Advanced TIDES Engineer

Location: Hybrid remote/onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; active Secret clearance required.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and shape proposals for integrated spacecraft test environments spanning hardware, firmware, software, and infrastructure.
• Design and integrate development, production, calibration, power-converter, NAS, and module-level test environments.
• Translate payload and program requirements into test capabilities, measurement approaches, interfaces, verification methods, and evidence plans.
• Develop design packages covering assemblies, interface-control documents, cabling, rack architecture, RF and FPGA/I/O drawers, calibration, BOMs, and readiness artifacts.
• Deploy and sustain networked test infrastructure, automated test execution, data handling, equipment monitoring, and reusable software cores.
• Lead trade studies, proposal inputs, technical reviews, risk discussions, mentoring, and coordination across program, capture, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with spacecraft payload development, integration, verification, production test, or sustainment.
• Strong knowledge of system test environments, automated test systems, RF test equipment, FPGA interfaces, rack integration, test data infrastructure, and networked laboratories.
• Experience with requirements analysis, traceability, interface definition, system integration, verification planning, test readiness reviews, proposals, BOEs, technical volumes, risks, and solution trades.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes or Docker, instrument control, FPGA development, high-speed digital interfaces, JESD204B, Ethernet/10G data paths, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
