Entry Level Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island; must be local to the work location, with occasional telework available

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Define system architectures and behaviors for Navy systems using MBSE tools such as Cameo.
• Support system requirements development, management, performance tracking, and engineering process activities.
• Develop and improve system models using SysML, commercial modeling tools, scripting languages, and macros.
• Implement digital engineering solutions to improve traditional engineering processes.
• Perform requirements verification and compliance assessments for reviews and critical deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to align and integrate systems engineering efforts.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering, computer science, or STEM field.
• Three to four years of high school education or equivalent background, as specified for the position.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and related office productivity tools.
• Basic understanding of systems engineering and digital engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and professional collaboration skills.
• Must be local to Middletown, Rhode Island; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within one year is listed as an additional qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience with MBSE tools including Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, NoMagic, TeamWork Cloud, or Cameo Collaborator.
• Experience with SysML, UML, or Velocity Template Language.
• Programming experience with Groovy, Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, CMMI, Agile, or Scrum environments.
