What you will do
- Translate the data governance strategy into a sequenced, resourced delivery plan, roadmap, priorities, success measures, and progress reporting.
- Lead governance change initiatives from business case and funding approval through implementation and adoption.
- Coordinate data engineers, domain leads, system owners, and data owners to implement agreed changes and controls.
- Run Data Domain Forums, prepare materials and minutes, track decisions, and drive actions to closure.
- Prepare analysis and papers for the Data Governance Board and support the CISO, DPO, and Legal on privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
- Develop governance frameworks, policies, standards, master data definitions, lineage and catalogue requirements, and data quality remediation plans.
Requirements
- Senior experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or a related discipline.
- Experience building governance frameworks, operating models, policies, standards, stewardship assignments, and escalation routes.
- Experience working with data owners, system owners, domain leads, engineers, senior stakeholders, privacy, security, and legal teams.
- Ability to define master data, data lineage, catalogue requirements, data quality checks, and remediation priorities.
- Practical experience using SQL and Power BI to interrogate data, validate evidence, and quality-assure governance reporting.
