Senior Applied AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design, integrate, deploy, and own AI agents that automate fund-operations workflows.
• Build evaluation systems using real documents, regression suites, human review, and measurable success criteria.
• Own agent architecture, including orchestration, multi-agent design, tool contracts, memory, RAG, MCP, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Operate production AI workloads with versioned rollouts, rate limits, provider fallback, regional failover, and observability within EU data residency.
• Build shared AI platform capabilities, including document extraction, evaluation, observability, and reusable agent patterns for other engineering teams.
• Ship the MCP offering to initial customers and establish observability for token usage, cost, latency, failures, and retries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production software development experience, including end-to-end ownership of an agent or LLM-powered capability.
• Strong experience with agent orchestration and context engineering, including tool contracts, memory, RAG, and multi-agent design.
• Experience integrating agents into production products and authorization systems.
• Ability to evaluate non-deterministic systems using real-data test cases, regression suites, benchmarks, and human review.
• Production backend experience with TypeScript and/or Python, including tracing, failure diagnosis, cost and latency optimization, rate limits, and provider fallback.
• Experience building platforms and standards adopted by other engineers; fintech, private markets, regulated, or document-heavy domain experience is advantageous.

• Experience with EU data-residency constraints.
