Senior AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands; the role requires being in the Den Bosch office at least 50% of the time and offers hybrid work with flexible hours and home working.

Salary: €5,291.59–€7,559.41 gross fixed base salary per month, depending on experience, knowledge and skills.

What you will do

• Design, establish and further develop hirify.global’s AI platform.
• Build the foundation for AI, ML and LLM solutions developed, deployed and managed in production.
• Set technical direction for AI adoption across the organisation and towards customers.
• Design and manage business-critical AI systems with a focus on security, governance, continuity, cost efficiency and explainability.
• Provide technical leadership while translating complex technical topics into practical solutions and clear decisions.

Requirements

• University-level education and at least 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years delivering AI, ML or LLM solutions in production.
• Must live close enough to attend the Den Bosch office at least 50% of the time on a sustainable basis.
• Experience designing, building and managing AI platforms or solutions at scale, including ML frameworks, MLOps and LLMOps tooling such as LangFuse, LangSmith or LangChain.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, preferably Azure, plus Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, and solid knowledge of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, API design and distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch at minimum B1 level.
