What you will do

  • Oversee daily operations and performance for Clinical Scheduling Specialists and Protocol Schedulers.
  • Supervise 12–15 direct reports, including hiring, coaching, training, evaluations, and corrective action.
  • Manage scheduling workflows, priorities, deadlines, staffing plans, and contingency coverage for assigned disease groups.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex appointments involving multiple providers, procedures, and imaging.
  • Coordinate with providers, administrative directors, disease center leaders, clinical directors, and patient service teams.
  • Monitor KPIs, resolve systems and telecommunications issues, and lead scheduling process improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • At least four years of related healthcare and/or customer service experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience or one year as an internal Clinical Scheduling Lead.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, decision-making, and personnel management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM systems, Epic, operational reporting, and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to work onsite in Boston 2–3 days per week in a hybrid arrangement.
