What you will do
- Lead health and safety compliance, risk management, audits, training, and corrective actions across EMEA offices, retail stores, and distribution centers.
- Oversee duty of care at third-party distribution centers and manage contractors and consultants against required standards.
- Maintain and improve the health and safety management system, including routine and ad hoc risk assessments, ergonomic solutions, and employee wellbeing support.
- Interpret legislative changes into practical guidance and coordinate with regulators, legal representatives, HR, Occupational Health, and operational stakeholders.
- Manage health and safety budgets, purchase orders, spending reports, mandatory training programs, and short- and long-term action plans.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, environmental compliance, measurable goals, and data-informed operational improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety role, preferably in retail or wholesale environments across the UK and EU.
- Strong working knowledge of UK and EU health and safety legislation and its practical application across diverse environments.
- Experience using health and safety data and incident reporting to identify risks and drive improvement.
- Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Organized, pragmatic, adaptable, calm, and professional, with the ability to work flexibly and travel as needed.
