A&P Mechanic V - Deployable (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; frequent travel to customer locations and extended OCONUS deployments on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale and complex aircraft maintenance projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in aircraft systems and maintenance protocols.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance procedures.
• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting of airframes and engines.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Mentor, train, guide, and inspect the work of other mechanics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Experience repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines, with the ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Must be able to meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, and deploy to OCONUS operating locations.
• Must hold a valid passport and be able to obtain an international travel visa; U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or required U.S. government authorizations are required.
• Must work extended hours, holidays, and shifts as required; the role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights and in confined or noisy environments, and frequent travel.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or a related field.
• Leadership, project management, FAA repair station, quality assurance, or Inspection Authorization experience.
• Expertise with specific aircraft models and prior lead or mentoring experience.
• FAR/DFARS familiarity and experience in aerospace, defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
