A&P Mechanic V - Deployable (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, with frequent travel to customer locations and extended OCONUS deployments on an approximate 60/60 rotation. The role requires work in office and field environments, including deployed locations.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale and complex aircraft maintenance projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert in aircraft systems, airframes, engines, and maintenance protocols.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance procedures.
• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain safety and compliance.
• Mentor, train, and guide other mechanics while supporting deployed operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Experience repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines, including interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Ability to deploy for extended periods to OCONUS operating locations on an approximate 60/60 rotation and meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements.
• Active Secret U.S. security clearance is required.
• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.
• Current valid passport and ability to obtain an international travel visa are required.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or a related field.
• Leadership and project management experience, including prior lead experience and mentoring or inspection of subordinate work.
• Expertise with specific aircraft models, FAA repair station or quality assurance experience, and an Inspection Authorization designation.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and experience in aerospace, defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
