HR Officer (Aviation)

Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany; based in the Frankfurt office. Periodic travel to other Etihad locations in Germany and the wider European region is required.

What you will do

• Advise managers across Germany and assigned European markets on employee relations, performance, recruitment, development, absence management, and organizational changes.
• Support employees throughout the HR lifecycle and deliver a consistent employee experience.
• Apply HR policies and procedures while balancing German legal requirements with the wider people framework.
• Work with employee representative structures, including Works Councils where required.
• Partner with Legal, Payroll, Recruitment, Onboarding, and other HR specialist teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain confidential and accurate HR records, improve processes, and support regional HR projects.

Requirements

• University degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant HR experience, with broad HR generalist exposure.
• Experience working within the German employment environment and knowledge of local employment practices.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are essential.
• Ability to work independently across different cultures, organizational levels, and locations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with German employee representation and Works Council environments.
• Experience supporting multiple countries or an international organization.
• Experience in aviation, travel, or another international operational organization.
• Additional European language capability.
