HR Generalist (m/f/d) with a Focus on Payroll Accounting

Location: Ochtrup, Germany; permanent full-time position

What you will do

• Process monthly payroll independently in compliance with tax, social security, and labor law requirements.
• Maintain personnel master data and transaction data in the HR system.
• Advise employees, managers, and external agencies on payroll-related matters.
• Prepare certificates, reports, and filings for government, health insurance, and social security agencies.
• Support HR administration from hiring through termination and ensure accurate, confidential documentation.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to optimize and digitize HR processes.

Requirements

• Completed business training, ideally with a focus on human resources.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in payroll accounting.
• Good knowledge of labor law, income tax law, and social security law.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Personio or DATEV is advantageous.
• Structured, meticulous, self-directed working style with strong numerical ability and a high sense of responsibility.
• Discreet handling of sensitive personal data and strong communication skills.
