Data Governance

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with attendance at the office or client site a minimum of two days per week, and up to five days per week on a client site depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Design and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls for client organisations.
• Lead complex client engagements involving business transformation, technology strategy, innovation, and data governance.
• Advise senior stakeholders and build trusted client relationships across business, legal, security, and technical functions.
• Develop data governance solutions covering data quality, security, compliance, cataloguing, metadata, lineage, and stewardship.
• Lead proposals, pitches, account development, and thought-leadership activities.
• Guide, mentor, and develop consulting teams while ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Requirements

• Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks, including data quality, security, and compliance policies.
• Experience establishing or working within a Data Office responsible for defining governance policies.
• Proficiency with data cataloguing and metadata management tools such as Collibra, Atlan, Informatica, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of data lineage, stewardship, data quality management, and governance controls on cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Significant consulting experience, successful delivery of large-scale projects, and strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications in cloud and data governance, plus expertise in at least one relevant industry sector.

Hiring process

• Initial recruiter call to discuss the application, role, and organisation.
• Two 60-minute competency or technical interviews.
• Final 60-minute meeting with a PA leader including a mini case study and discussion of client-centricity.
