Wholesale Operations Manager

Location: Hybrid in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with in-office presence required on core days from Thursday through Tuesday. Applicants must live in Chattanooga or be willing to relocate to the United States. Occasional travel to San Luis Obispo, California, and Stuttgart, Germany, may be required.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day wholesale operations and fulfillment, ensuring accurate order processing and on-time, in-full delivery to retail partners.
• Own the EDI program end to end, including retailer connections, mapping, testing, go-live approval, transaction-error resolution, and coordination with EDI providers and retailer teams.
• Maintain retailer compliance across shipping, labeling, routing, vendor portals, scorecards, product content, pricing, and wholesale data.
• Lead onboarding for new wholesale retailers, including vendor setup, item data, imagery, compliance training, EDI configuration, and go-live troubleshooting.
• Monitor OTIF, ASN accuracy, deductions, fulfillment performance, sales trends, forecasting, and demand planning to identify risks and opportunities.
• Build scalable workflows, improve reporting automation and data flows, and apply AI tools to operational processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in wholesale operations, CPG retail operations, or a similar field, including work with national or big-box retail accounts.
• Direct experience owning EDI, managing new customer setups, and ensuring retailer compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to own outcomes independently, close operational issues, and design processes that improve efficiency and revenue growth.
• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must live in Chattanooga or be willing to relocate; hybrid work requires in-office presence on core days.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, with occasional work outside normal business hours and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems, SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, retailer vendor portals, or transportation portals.
• Experience with Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, or similar retailers.
• Practical experience applying AI tools to operational workflows.
