What you will do

• Own the People function end to end as a hands-on, standalone People leader reporting to the CEO.
• Shape a high-performing, values-led culture and lead employee engagement and experience initiatives.
• Handle employee relations with sound judgement, discretion, and fairness.
• Use People data and workforce analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and measure impact.
• Improve People processes, policies, systems, and ways of working across the employee lifecycle.
• Manage HR operations, including benefits, payroll coordination, HR tooling, onboarding, and offboarding.

Requirements

• Senior People or HR experience in a scale-up or tech environment.
• Experience running a People function independently with no direct reports.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to act as a tactical and strategic business partner.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience with employee relations, People data, workforce analytics, compensation frameworks, performance management, and HR tooling.
• Ability to assess an existing People function and prioritise improvements across processes, policies, and systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in a tech or SaaS business.
• CIPD qualification.
• Experience working with an outsourced talent or recruitment partner.
