Director of People Operations

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona; the ideal candidate is expected to support the hirify.global AZ hub.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 USD OTE per year, depending on location and experience.

What you will do

• Partner with the Chief People Officer and business leaders to translate priorities into practical people programs.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small People team while remaining hands-on in key work.
• Advise leaders on organizational effectiveness, performance, talent decisions, workforce planning, and team health.
• Own sensitive employee relations matters and maintain compliant policies and processes.
• Design and deliver programs covering performance management, talent development, succession planning, manager enablement, engagement, and culture.
• Use people data and feedback to guide decisions, oversee compensation and benefits, and ensure reliable HRIS and employee lifecycle operations.

Requirements

• Progressive People or HR leadership experience across employee relations, performance management, talent, engagement, compensation, and people operations.
• Experience leading a small team while personally owning important work as a player-coach.
• Strong judgment and experience advising senior leaders through complex or sensitive situations.
• Deep knowledge of HR practices and U.S. employment law; international team experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and change-management skills.
• Experience with Rippling, Notion, Greenhouse, Google Suite, and AI tools is preferred.
