What you will do
- Plan and monitor manufacturing and qualification test campaigns for New Glenn flight avionics hardware.
- Manage project requirements, priorities, scope, schedules, integration, and cost in a development environment.
- Coordinate with responsible engineers, integrated product teams, test engineers, technicians, buyers, project managers, and other support personnel.
- Build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and incorporate stakeholder priorities into project decisions.
- Support safe, robust avionics development for a human-capable orbital launch vehicle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, operations management, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience planning and managing projects or programs, including requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, integration, and cost.
- Experience with manufacturing rate management and improvement.
- Experience with P6 Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
- Strong written, communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or project management.
- 8+ years of experience as a project manager in an operations environment.
- Experience with launch vehicle development, production, operations, aerospace qualification testing, verification, integration, and test.
- Experience managing suppliers and delivering high-quality products on schedule and within budget.
- Knowledge of avionics and electrical components, including LRUs, batteries, data acquisition systems, software, and test instrumentation.
- PMP certification and experience with EVMS, critical-path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, or cost account management.
