TL;DR
Technical Project Manager III (Aerospace): Planning and monitoring manufacturing and qualification test campaigns for New Glenn flight avionics hardware with an accent on requirements, scope, schedule, integration, cost, and stakeholder coordination. Focus on managing critical-path aerospace projects, coordinating verification and testing, and delivering safe, high-quality avionics hardware on schedule.

Location: Space Coast, Florida, United States

Develops reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems, including the New Glenn heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Plan and monitor manufacturing and qualification test campaigns for New Glenn flight avionics hardware.
  • Manage project requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, integration, and cost in a development environment.
  • Coordinate with responsible engineers, integrated product teams, test engineers, technicians, buyers, project managers, and other support personnel.
  • Build stakeholder relationships and incorporate stakeholder needs into project management decisions.
  • Support the development and operations of safe, robust avionics for a human-capable orbital launch vehicle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, operations management, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience planning and managing projects or programs in a development environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing rate management and improvement.
  • Experience with P6 Primavera, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Strong written, communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in engineering, business, or project management.
  • 8+ years of project management experience in an operations environment.
  • Experience with launch vehicle development, production, operations, aerospace qualification testing, or human-rated spacecraft.
  • Knowledge of avionics and electrical components, including LRUs, batteries, data acquisition systems, software, and test instrumentation.
  • PMP certification and experience with EVMS, critical-path scheduling, risk management, requirements management, and cost account management.
