Operating Model Consultant (Defence & Security)

Location: Avon St, Bristol, UK; hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office or on client site, and up to 5 days per week on a client site depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Design strategies, operating structures, and solutions for defence, security, and public-sector clients.
• Deliver projects spanning strategic design, business analysis, organisational design, programme definition, and design coherence.
• Apply design-thinking tools and approaches to complex client challenges.
• Develop digital operating models and AI operating models.
• Work in blended, multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with specialists across PA.
• Engage with clients and present recommendations and insights from operational level to C-suite.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in business strategy, organisational design, customer or user value analysis, technology-enabled effectiveness, data-driven problem solving, or related work.
• Experience delivering work within or for defence and/or public-sector organisations.
• Strong analytical, creative, abstract-thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams while also acting independently as a day-to-day client contact.
• Experience with digital operating models is highly beneficial.
• Applicants must be British citizens or have been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years where security clearance is required; all employees undergo background checks and Baseline Personnel Security Standard screening.

• Understanding of change drivers affecting national security and public-sector leaders.
• Familiarity with business or technology architecture concepts.
