Commercial Portfolio Analyst (Energy)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with two days per week in the Farringdon office

What you will do

• Build and calibrate Smart Demand planning models using customer demand and third-party installer capacity data.
• Model and forecast the energy metering portfolio, including scenarios, sensitivities, margins, and commercial risks.
• Evaluate supplier relationship trade-offs and provide analysis for contract negotiations and strategic decisions.
• Turn ad-hoc data requests into actionable insights for the energy team’s roadmap.
• Present high-visibility analysis to senior stakeholders, including the Energy Director, and collaborate with external metering partners.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of commercial or analytical experience in business analytics, commercial finance, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including complex logic, sensitivity tables, and analysis of messy, multi-layered data.
• Ability to connect analysis with commercial P&L drivers, margins, and practical business decisions.
• Strong numerical intuition, curiosity, ownership, and ability to communicate complex scenarios clearly.
• Willingness to develop SQL and Python skills with dedicated mentorship.

Nice to have

• STEM or numerical degree.
• Previous energy sector experience.
