Commercial Analyst (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Support Commercial Managers in managing major supplier contracts and outsourced relationships.
• Ensure regulatory and key control requirements for outsourced supplier services are delivered.
• Validate supplier charges, challenge inaccuracies, and ensure invoices are paid within contractual timescales.
• Provide commercial analysis, reporting, cost validation, forecasting, and insight into industry and market trends.
• Lead and coordinate supplier commercial governance, including meeting materials, minutes, actions, and Executive-level meetings.
• Manage selected contract activities and smaller projects while identifying opportunities to apply AI and reduce costs without affecting service quality.

Requirements

• Experience providing analytical support in complex business environments.
• Experience working in a commercial or regulatory environment.
• Working knowledge of analytical tools and techniques, including AI.
• Working knowledge of financial modelling and contract management principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, judgement, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience working with third-party suppliers or outsourcing arrangements.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Knowledge of commercial negotiation, contract law, or end-to-end sourcing.
• Degree or relevant professional qualifications such as CIMA, PRINCE2, or IACCM.
