Commercial Administrator (Infrastructure)

Location: Social Infrastructure - Thame, United Kingdom; flexibility to travel as required.

Company

Infrastructure business delivering utility and social infrastructure projects, including water, energy, power, telecoms, retrofit, refurbishment, and maintenance work across the UK.

What you will do

• Support commercial teams throughout the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects.
• Assist with contract management under JCT and NEC 3/4 contracts, including Options A and C.
• Support subcontractor negotiations, payments, application approvals, and performance tracking.
• Measure completed works and contribute to accurate billing processes.
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis reports.
• Maintain accurate and robust commercial documentation.

Requirements

• Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates or similar bespoke Schedule of Rates.
• Familiarity with the construction industry and basic understanding of standard methods of measurement.
• Five GCSEs or equivalent at grades 9-4, including Mathematics and English; a Science subject is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, communication, teamwork, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Previous construction industry experience.
• Willingness to develop knowledge of software packages.
