Quality & Configuration Management Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible

What you will do

• Act as the quality focal point for conformity, customer requirements, and feedback management.
• Manage relationships with civil and military authorities and support DOA, POA, and MOA approvals.
• Coordinate on-site quality assurance activities and issue flight permits.
• Support change control, configuration baseline evolution, and product breakdown structure updates.
• Track product delivery and lifecycle data from assembly and testing through customer delivery and maintenance.
• Define and monitor quality KPIs, analyze NCRs, perform root cause analysis, and implement recurrence-prevention actions.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in quality assurance, QMS, or configuration management within the aerospace or defense industry.
• Knowledge of DOA, POA, and MOA approvals, QMS, root cause analysis, NCR management, and configuration control.
• Advanced English proficiency required; Spanish is highly valued.
• Proactive, customer-oriented, and capable of communicating and solving problems across departments.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with aviation authorities such as EASA or PERAM.
• Experience with flight permit processes.
