Civil Drafter (Stormwater and AU Residential)

Location: Work from home; no preferred candidate location stated. The role follows an AEST-based schedule, listed as 8:00 AM–5:00 PM AEST and 6:00 AM–3:00 PM AEST.

What you will do

• Prepare structural drafting drawings for typical Australian residential construction projects.
• Produce small stormwater drainage drawings according to project requirements.
• Create and revise AutoCAD LT drawings using standardized templates, formatting, annotations, dimensions, and labeling.
• Review project specifications and briefs and translate design intent into accurate technical drawings.
• Organize drafting detail libraries, project files, revisions, timesheets, and documentation using established systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and project stakeholders to incorporate feedback and deliver drawings on schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or vocational diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in structural and small stormwater drafting, preferably for residential projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and experience working with standardized drafting templates and formatting guidelines.
• Understanding of basic structural drafting principles for residential-scale projects.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and written communication skills.
• Experience working on Australian residential construction projects is essential.
