Senior Structural Engineer | Technical

Location: Hybrid role based at the Sunway office in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

What you will do

• Provide engineering support to internal and external clients.
• Develop and maintain design tools, procedures, calculation models, and technical literature.
• Support research and development projects and product compliance for existing and new product groups.
• Prepare plans, detailed drawings, project specifications, and cost estimates.
• Lead and mentor a small technical engineering team.
• Deliver technical presentations and monitor industry, product, competitor, and technology developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• Relevant experience in construction, engineering and design, architecture, or building materials.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental structural engineering principles, including hands-on engineering and technical report writing.
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
• Analytical, proactive, self-motivated, decisive, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with precast concrete lifting and connections.
• Subject matter expertise in relevant structural engineering or construction products.
