TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (AI): Building and modernising TOPdesk's customer-facing Knowledge Base across the UI and backend with an accent on agentic delivery, legacy platform modernisation, and production reliability. Focus on orchestrating Claude Code agents, designing verification and evals, and shipping maintainable TypeScript/Vue/Azure and Java/MS SQL changes.
Location: Kaiserslautern, Germany; Netherlands; remote. Hybrid working environment.

What you will do
- Build and modernise the customer-facing Knowledge Base across its user interface and backend.
- Frame problems, orchestrate Claude Code agents, and verify agent-generated implementations.
- Develop new agentic capabilities and modernise the legacy Java/MS SQL platform on a TypeScript, Vue, and Azure stack.
- Define implementation briefs, acceptance criteria, tests, runtime checks, migration validation, observability, and rollback plans.
- Review agent-generated changes for architectural correctness, security, maintainability, and production risk.
- Contribute reusable prompts, subagents, evals, and agent libraries while coaching colleagues.
Requirements
- Current, daily, hands-on experience delivering production work with Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, or an equivalent agentic engineering tool.
- Experience with at least one of TypeScript, Vue, Java, Postgres, Azure-hosted systems, or Terraform.
- Strong software-engineering judgement, testing instincts, and operational awareness.
- Ability to identify agent-generated output that is architecturally wrong, unsafe, or unnecessarily complex.
- Comfort working in ambiguous situations and legacy codebases, with strong written communication.
Nice to have
- Experience modernising or decomposing a heritage platform in production.
- Experience building reusable prompts, subagents, evals, or CLAUDE.md conventions.
- Hands-on experience with MCP tool integrations or multi-agent workflows.
- Depth across multiple technology stacks.
