Senior DevOps Specialist (Web3)

Location: Washington, DC, hybrid; flexible work from home with access to company offices and remote work from eligible locations for up to 2 months per year.

Salary: $165,000–$195,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and operate cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident response practices.
• Embed security controls into automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support CJIS, CMMC, and SOC 2 compliance.
• Partner with engineering leadership, Client Delivery Leads, and product teams to prioritize infrastructure work and plan resources.
• Identify and implement AI tools and agents for automated remediation, log anomaly detection, infrastructure-as-code generation and review, and compliance evidence collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering in a high-growth technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux infrastructure, DNS, storage, firewalls, TCP/UDP/IP behavior, and application data flows.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, configuration management, system logs, Kibana, Grafana, AWS, network infrastructure, and security hardening.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as CJIS, CMMC, and SOC 2, plus proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Ability to manage priorities across development cycles and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or GCP.
• Blockchain node deployment, including Ethereum miners.
• Application orchestration, Istio, or service mesh technology.
• Managing IoT devices in operational technology systems.
