Director of Finance (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day Finance function, set priorities, develop the team, and establish accountability.
• Build manufacturing and program finance visibility across materials, labor, overhead, inventory, CapEx, supplier commitments, and product costs.
• Own budgets, forecasts, cash and runway models, scenario planning, program investment analysis, and CapEx planning.
• Partner with executive, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and people leaders on investment and capacity decisions.
• Own accounting, close, financial reporting, external audit readiness, and reporting for the board, investors, auditors, and government customers.
• Lead the ERP design and implementation, including costing, inventory and WIP, procure-to-pay, program accounting, revenue recognition, reporting, and financial controls.

Requirements

• Strong GAAP fluency, technical accounting judgment, and direct ownership of an accounting function.
• Finance or financial planning experience in hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or another capital-intensive environment.
• Experience building operating plans, cash and runway forecasts, scenario analyses, and investment models.
• Experience with external audits; first-audit experience is an advantage.
• Meaningful ERP implementation or scaling experience; NetSuite experience is a significant advantage.
• Experience leading Finance teams and building systems and processes in a growing company.

Nice to have

• Controller, Assistant Controller, or Director of Accounting experience.
• Experience taking a company through its first external audit.
• NetSuite experience.
