Vice President of Finance (Minerals)

What you will do

• Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and project-level financial modeling.
• Partner with executive and project leadership on capital allocation, unit economics, and financial infrastructure.
• Own board and investor reporting, including recurring reporting packages and ad hoc investor requests.
• Oversee close, audit, technical accounting, tax-advisor relationships, treasury, and cash management.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, reporting processes, and automation for future capital raises and public-company readiness.
• Lead and develop the Accounting and FP&A team while coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Talent.

Requirements

• On-site work in Houston, Texas.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior leadership across accounting or controllership and FP&A.
• Experience scaling a finance function at a capital-intensive, high-growth company, ideally in hardware, industrials, energy, mining, or a similar sector.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles; CPA or an equivalent technical accounting credential is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing external audits, board or investor reporting, financial systems, ERP or accounting platforms, and financial planning tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, cross-functional collaboration, and people-management skills.

Nice to have

• Background in natural resources, energy, infrastructure, or another capital-intensive business.
• Experience partnering with government or regulated-industry stakeholders.
