Head of Consultant Relations & RFP (Asset Management)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the designated hirify.global office and one day outside the office

What you will do

• Build and deepen relationships with investment consulting firms in Japan to acquire and expand fund wrap-related business.
• Present investment capabilities, competitive advantages, and long-term support frameworks to consultants.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business strategy and strengthen consultant ratings for investment strategies.
• Develop a strong internal network with the global Consultant Relations team.
• Lead and develop the RFP team, including people management and strategic direction.
• Establish RFP processes and governance, and provide review and backup support without handling routine daily drafting.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the asset management industry.
• Experience in consultant relations, institutional sales, investment consulting, and fund wrap-related business.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese investment consulting landscape and decision-making processes.
• Experience managing teams and developing employee performance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Excellent Japanese communication and presentation skills; English proficiency sufficient for global collaboration.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in Finance or Economics.
• CFA or CMA certification.
