District Manager (Optical Retail)

Location: Destin, Florida, United States; requires travel throughout the district and frequent in-person contact with store management.

What you will do

• Drive profitable sales, analyze financial reports, identify trends, and execute business plans across the district.
• Oversee store operations, compliance, safety, merchandising, pricing promotions, and visual presentation.
• Maintain high customer service and optical quality standards, resolve escalated issues, and reduce remakes.
• Conduct store visits and provide reports to the Regional Vice President or Regional Director.
• Forecast staffing needs, recruit and retain high-caliber employees, and identify leadership talent.
• Lead, coach, and mentor store managers toward collaboration and performance goals.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of retail optical management or operations experience.
• 3–5 years of multi-unit retail management or operations experience.
• 4–6 years of experience as a general manager, assistant manager, or similar optical-industry manager.
• Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, with knowledge of the optical industry.
• Ability to travel throughout the district; ABO and NCLE certification is preferred.
