Electrical Engineering Internship (RF)

What you will do

• Design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems.
• Support product development through schematic design, testing, and manufacturing of space electronics.
• Work on board-level RF electronics such as amplifiers, switches, filters, and related front-end systems, or contribute to antenna design.
• Use laboratory instruments including network analyzers, power sensors, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
• Present technical work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership throughout the summer.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Physics at an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced coursework in RF and microwave engineering, plus upper-level undergraduate coursework in electromagnetics.
• Practical experience designing and building electronics hardware through research, competition teams, extracurricular activities, or advanced engineering courses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be eligible under United States Government Space Technology Export Regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or other protected individual, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with schematic and layout tools such as Altium.
• Advanced coursework in antennas, communication systems, or electromagnetics.
• Experience with Ansys HFSS, ADS, or other circuit and physics simulation tools.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Aerospace or automotive electronics design and development experience.
