RF/Microwave Engineering Intern (RF/Microwave)

Location: Syracuse, New York, United States

Compensation: $51,621–$81,595 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Design and simulate RF/microwave components, circuits, and test circuits for military and space-based applications.
• Develop test procedures, test stations, and data reduction software with test engineering and engineering technicians.
• Evaluate designs using layout and simulation tools, perform tolerance analysis, and correlate simulations with test results.
• Prepare design reviews, presentations, and clear summaries of analyzed data.
• Support manufacturing, production designs, project schedules, and the Material Review Board process.

Requirements

• Currently majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong coursework in physics and mathematics, with a basic understanding and strong interest in microwave theory.
• Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and conduct structured problem solving.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, HFSS, circuit simulation and modeling tools, Microsoft Office, and MATLAB.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must comply with US export-control, ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• Electromagnetics coursework.
• 3D modeling experience.
