Electrical Engineering Internship, FPGA

Company

Develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.

What you will do

• Develop HDL-level FPGA circuits and systems for satellite communication applications.
• Design, verify, test, validate, and deploy FPGA systems throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clock domains, and management interfaces.
• Use laboratory equipment including digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Present technical work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Must be eligible under U.S. space technology export regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or person eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
• Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering at an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced coursework and practical experience in FPGA system design and implementation at the HDL level.
• Experience with FPGA design and verification using Verilog, VHDL, HDL Coder, Vivado, ModelSim, or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital signal processing.
• Experience with board-level hardware design.
