Focus on implementing and optimizing FPGA interfaces, developing test fixtures and procedures, validating designs through simulation, and integrating products with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite role

Salary: $95,000–$161,500 annually

Company

hirify.global develops metrology and inspection systems for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, including Surfscan platforms for wafer surface quality and defect inspection.

What you will do

  • Define electrical subsystem requirements, specifications, and interfaces from system-level requirements.
  • Design and prototype analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, capture schematics, and direct PCB layout.
  • Implement, verify, and optimize high-speed FPGA designs for data acquisition, processing, and communication.
  • Develop test fixtures, procedures, and scripts for PCB prototypes and FPGA functional testing, qualification, and characterization.
  • Run circuit, signal integrity, timing, thermal, power, and FPGA simulations; participate in design reviews and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, and service teams during product integration, production ramp-up, and field issue resolution.

Requirements

  • BSEE with at least 1 year of experience, or an MSEE or PhD in electrical engineering.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering and practical analog and digital mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Experience developing FPGA systems on Xilinx or Intel (Altera) platforms using Verilog and/or VHDL, including simulation, synthesis, implementation, and debugging.
  • Understanding of FPGA-to-PCB interfaces, timing analysis, timing closure, and constraint development.
  • Experience with tools such as OrCAD, Vivado/ISE, Quartus, Synplify, Questa/ModelSim, Python, and MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, ownership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-assisted circuit design, circuit review, or FPGA design.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits.
  • 401(k) with company matching and an employee stock purchase program.
  • Paid time off, company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement, student debt assistance, career development, financial planning, and wellness programs.
