Archival Digitization Specialist

Location: Harrisburg, PA, United States; onsite only and not work-from-home

Compensation: $19/hour

hirify.global is a family-history platform that helps people discover, preserve, and share their family stories through extensive historical records and DNA services.

What you will do

• Capture digital images of archival documents according to established specifications.
• Perform quality audits on scanned rolls before transmission.
• Report project progress and audit findings, and maintain complex spreadsheets.
• Manage the delivery and transmission of image files to the corporate office.
• Perform equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs with third-party hardware service providers.
• Complete basic image enhancement, file organization, and other project-related tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with digitization, archival documents, and goal-oriented projects.
• Experience using scanning and image-editing equipment, procedures, and materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize urgency effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on focused, repetitive tasks.
• Background or experience in photography, libraries and archives, or history.
• Ability to work onsite in Harrisburg, PA, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
