Quality Technician C (Aerospace)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; onsite production-floor work

Salary: $23.08–$42.79 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct inspections and verify parts against engineering drawings and specification sheets.
• Support yield improvements, quality escape investigations, containment activities, and RCCA determinations.
• Create and update inspection plans, procedures, notes, and control plans.
• Analyze defect and inspection data to identify product-failure trends and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with quality engineers, production operators, customer representatives, and factory support personnel.
• Traverse the production floor throughout the shift, for up to 12 hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of prior quality experience, or a two-year post-secondary/AA degree with 2 years of prior quality experience.
• Experience with inspections, quality findings, defect reporting, and corrective-action activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Ability to work onsite in Rochester and remain on the production floor for extended periods.
• Security clearance eligibility may be required; clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, statistical data analysis, and quality-control methodologies.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other measurement tools.
• Ability to train others on quality-control processes and procedures.
